Where in India does YMAD go?
Why India?
Fundraising?
YMAD stands for Youth Making a Difference. It is a nonprofit 501(c) corporation dedicated to teaching youth core Leaderships skills. Youth then apply their learned skills on a final humanitarian trip to India.
YMAD started many years back by a high schooler your age. He felt that us Americans were living in “abundance” and needed to help the struggling people in this world. His father’s shipping container business led him to India, the rest is history.
YMAD teaches 7 core leadership values. These include: Vision, Integrity, Inspiration, Courage, Compassion, Forgiveness, and Gratitude.
YMAD Rules require that each participant be held to a high professional standard whether that be in a local, national, or international environment.
YMAD Policies require each participant to be dedicated to fundraising deadlines and to attend trainings as much as possible and on time
YMAD coordinates with representatives within the Indian government to determine where best the expedition should go.
India is a very culture rich place and while it has come a long way in terms of it’s development, many of it’s citizens, especially in remote locations, lack infrastructure, health care, and education. YMAD’s goal is to reach out to these people who are in desperate need of basic necessities.
YMAD requires each participant to raise a total of $4,400 dollars over 6 months in order to cover the cost of the individuals travel to India. Any additional funds allocated over the $4,400 will 100% go towards extra support in India, whether that be surgeries, dental work, or other projects.

Saturday Morning: YMAD Leadership Training: Vision + Life Lenses + Public Speaking
Lesson #1 Quick Summary
What is Vision?
Why is Vision important?
Where/how do I start?
Homework??
You will be trained in creating vision. You will have the ability to create a vision for yourself and others that goes beyond what is predictably going to happen, and may go beyond what anyone knows how to achieve.
Vision is important because it is the 1st step in becoming a great leader. In order to achieve positive change we must first imagine or envision that desired outcome.
In order to create vision, you need to put yourself in uncomfortable situations. You need to focus on the outcome and through repetition, tell yourself you can achieve your vision.
Participants were assigned to finish the Vision Page in the binder and also text a quick paragraph of what they learned upon completing the homework
