My First Look At India.. by Remi Bassett

When I first got off the plane into India, I was very surprised. I expected to see a third world country with little to none of the luxuries we enjoy in the states. There were several cars, lights, and people with iPhones. I was also surprised by the travel time. I got on the plane, took a nap, and woke up in India. It felt like it only took two hours. It was one of the craziest things I’ve experienced.

    It was still day out when I arrived and there was also a surprising amount of white people, and it wasn’t as hot as I imagined it would be, even a little chilly. I had to get out my sweatshirt. All the signs were in English and you could see many popular restaurant chains too, like Starbucks and McDonalds. There was also a beautiful ocean and giant red bridge nearby.

 

    Then I realized I was still in San Francisco.
