November 25, 2018 - 2018 Operation Bandhu
Every day after teaching in the villages we visit a couple of houses. At the houses they feed us food and talk to us. Some of the houses are literally tin roofs and walls with barley any belongings, and some are just one room with a bed. They invite us in and are so happy with very little or nothing. Just a smile or seeing us makes them so happy, it makes me just think that with everything I have there is no reason I should be happy for every second I am alive.
I rarely think of home because I have drowned myself I’m these kids, but when I do all I think about is how spoiled I am. We have so much and they have barley anything. Today is Thanksgiving, just sitting down and thinking for a minute I can think of over 70 things. We have all been blessed with the life we have, and will never stop being grateful.
What an amazing experience, Kolin! It’s been great to see pictures, read blogs, and imagine you in India. We’re grateful you took this opportunity; you will never be the same. We look forward to hearing more about everything from you. We love you!
