Little Faces – Emma Sturt

May 14, 2018 - Uncategorized

Today was our last day teaching the cutest kids on the planet earth. This tiny school, high in the Himalayas has been my home. I have been embraced and loved. I have never seen more glowing smiles and happy hearts in my life.

A little piece of my heart broke today as I was overwhelmed with kisses on my cheeks and last minute hugs before I had to walk away from these little humans I grew to love so much. I was blown away by their eagerness to learn, their kindness, their energy, and their ability to love so blindly.

I will miss hearing them call me “mam ji”, and feeling their itty bitty hands on my cheeks.

They have the biggest hearts.

These little kids smile with their whole souls, they radiate joy, and overwhelm you with unconditional love.

Although I wish I had more time to spend with each one of them, I am so grateful for the happiness they brought into my life. They made each day beautiful.
