Expedition Sapna by Ellie Ewer

September 8, 2018 - 2019 Operation: Sapna

Hi everyone! We are Operation Sapna!

We had our first retreat on August 24 and 25 at the Burbidge’s home! On Friday we had a great lesson on integrity from Troy. We learned about honoring our word and the importance of having integrity. We had a great dinner and played some fun games so we could all get to know each other better. Later that night we found out our prep teams and then went swimming in the Burbidges awesome pool! On Saturday we had breakfast and learned all about fundraising from Bret! We did some meditation and started to think about our life lenses. After that we finally picked out our name! We chose Operation Sapna, which means dream in Hindi. So we are the literal Dream Team;) The name Sapna also has some special meaning because there is a little girl in Rampur named Sapna that YMAD has been able to help over the past few years so it felt like a really cool way to honor her. We had an amazing retreat and started off our 9 months together with a bang!

We are all so incredibly excited to start this amazing and life changing journey together and are so grateful for YMAD,  all of our leaders, and the support of our family and friends! We love you all!
