Nazi regime? – by Ian Bright

May 29, 2019 - 2019: vada ka yuva

The past three days have definitely been a complete blur. Time seemed completely worthless as we traveled all the way to Jihbi. Our yurts are pretty great to my standards at least, it’s like glorified camping really. Everyone has their own special thing like shower heads, hot water, mirrors, etc.  But all the long hours of traveling seemed worth it once we arrived into our schools. The joy all of these little kids have for you is amazing and you can’t help thinking about how little they have but their joy is overwhelming to witness. In the mornings the kids have a very long and structured prayer with some questionable gestures but it was fun to watch. After that the kids do when you walk in is stand up and say “good morning sir, good morning ma’am” and it was so adorable. We did get the opportunity to teach them today but only for a limited amount of time because the schools were taking a test or something for the next few days. We learned a lot in our first lesson and we can not wait to try again tomorrow
