November 20, 2019 - 2019: Operation Parivar
When I first got on the plane from Utah to Dallas i was filled with happiness, believing this would be the greatest experience of my life. It was an understatement. I could’ve never imagined a place with this much culture and happiness and being with a group that truly cares. The people of India are humble and very nice. Compared to the area of Utah i have grown up in, India is filled with poverty and lack of many resources and things we take for granted. It is mind blowing and eye opening to see how happy they are with so little.
Once we landed in Delhi Airport Saturday night we went through customs and continued on to our bus that we would be talking to Kullu. My mind has never been more flabbergasted at what i saw. The pollution near the airport was so thick you could taste the air and it felt like you were still inside a building. By the time we were on the bus i had a grasp on how different this place is from where i have grown up. The bus ride was very fun and i got to know the people in my group much better. They are Parivar now. The bus was amazing because i got the chance to see so much of India and all it’s wonder.
The kids in my School are the most loving, Sweetest kids i have ever felt in my life. They are filled with joy, happiness, and an outlook i’ve never seen before. They are the happiest souls and are so pure. In my School i have 46 Kids split into 5 different classes. The youngest kids are very loud but so fun to be around. The older kids are very respectful and seriously funny and have such a desire to learn and within the 3 days i have taught they have already learned so much. India is truly a wonderful place filled with the most wonderful people and i am so happy i get to spend more time here.
