India, and Jibhi in particular, is definitely the most beautiful place I have ever been.  The nature, the people, the culture…everything about it is beautiful.  There isn’t even anything I can compare it to, because I have never seen or experienced anything like it.  The other day I went exploring through the Himalayas with a couple kids in my village group.  We rounded a corner of a mountain and what we saw was honestly unparalleled beauty.  The Himalayas are gorgeous!  The gigantic trees, the tiny homes, the layered farms, and the winding roads–everything is so pretty and the vibrant colors are incredible.

The kids here are by far my favorite part.  Each day I am falling more and more in love with all of them!  At my school, the kids are insanely well behaved.  They get excited over the smallest things, and they are always overjoyed to see us, but they are constantly polite and happy.

Today one boy stood out to me.  His name is Geshua.  He is 11 years old–making him one of, if not the oldest in the school.  He loves his colorful sweater, his eyes are a deep green that is unreal, his smile is contagious, and he is VERY smart.  Even though Geshua was quiet, I know that he is understanding the lessons because his eyes get excited and he smiles really big when everything finally clicks.

Today I was team leader so instead of teaching my own workshop I got to help everyone else out with their workshops.  It is extremely rewarding to look around and see how much these kids have learned in such a little amount of time.  Not only do they learn things extremely fast, but they remember them.  It is so amazing to see that we are making such a big impact here.  Even if some people here didn’t have anything in common, I know that we would ALL agree that these kids are phenomenal, and we absolutely love them.  I am so grateful I have had the chance to participate in YMAD!

I love you all family, and can’t wait to see you again!
