The Sweet Escape – Parker Moyle

March 29, 2017 - Uncategorized

I’m super sick from days of travel and foreign food, but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I was so scared to be away from my family, friends, and to be disconnected for two weeks. However, it has been so liberating. We’ve only been here a few days and my life has been changed. The beautiful Himalayas surround us and are so peaceful and massive. The kids in my school are so wonderful and everything is running smoothly. I’ve known them two days, yet I already tear up just thinking about the day I have to say goodbye to them. I think of the potential these kids have and wish more than anything that I can make some difference in helping them improve their lives. Despite the heat and jet lag and sickness, I can’t bring myself to stop smiling. As we played freeze dance with the kids today and Rachel’s phone began to play The Sweet Escape it really opened my eyes to what this trip is doing for me and how immensely it is changing my life for the better. All smiles in India!
