April 6, 2018 - 2018 Operation: Vishvaas
I have now been in India for about 10 days and I love everything about it. The people are incredible. Everyone welcomes us with open arms. It makes me feel right at home because it’s like a big extended family. The people of the village are so sweet and always so happy. The villagers always wave, say hello, and offer us whatever they’ve harvested that day (it was peas and almonds today). Sometimes they are even more interested in our lessons than the kids are.
I love the kids, and they may not all know my name, but as far as they are concerned my name is didi (older sister). They are so smart, and they love us unconditionally. We can barely talk to them, but that doesn’t matter. I am so glad that love is a universal language. These kids have changed my life. The children of Shaneri have stolen my heart and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Loves and kisses

(PS: mom and dad I don’t know why I was so worried, the food is delicious and I am in heaven)

So happy for you and your kids – it really is about loving everyone like they were your brother or sister (because they are!)
See you soon
