Some times people just don’t understand how I can say that the last day with the kids in India is my favorite. It’s not because I just want to get home to America and it’s not that I just like to see people cry. The reason that I love the last day is because it’s the moment when I see that special change that can only happen to people who completely engulf themselves in service and give 100% of their hearts to someone.
Tears were shed, hugs were given, grown men bawled like babies, and I smiled the whole time. I couldn’t be prouder of my team. I have never seen a group of people work better and as effectively as they have. I am so grateful to have been able to come to India with my best friends and to literally see their lives change forever.
I will miss my girls here in the temple ashram; they are some of the brightest and most beautiful girls I have ever met. I know that their lives were changed this week because of the hard work, determination, and love that my team gave them. Today was my best day; it was the dessert of my trip.
