t seems as if the kids at our villages/schools are getting more and more wild by the day. Not sure how the heat doesn’t suck any energy out of them, because it sure does for me. They still manage to bounce off the walls.
I have absolutely loved my experience with these kids though. Their smiles and bubbly personalities are contagious. I didn’t think I could see a grin stretch farther than ear to ear before I met these kids. They are filled with pure happiness and a desire to share it with everyone around them.
I learned that the kids LOVE pictures. With my eyes down reaching in my bag for my camera, somehow I am presented with 10 kids posed and ready to go for “selfie time”. I wish I could capture their energy in a picture, it’s truly unforgettable.
I was thrilled to get home to the hotel with a surprise waiting for me at the table. Our wonderful expedition leader, Tim, was able to work his magic and rent a violin for me and my teammates who play! I am beyond excited for our upcoming culture exchange. Where I will be able to share some music with this violin and connect with each and every village!
I’m Glad that you are having fun! Thanks for sharing.
Viv!!! It is wonderful to see you!!!! You look like you are happy and enjoying a great experience. Please get some videos of you playing violin. What a cool thing that Tim found one for you. We are at Owl’s Hollow with the Stewarts for the family reunion. We really miss you so bad. Thank you for posting this. Love you honey. -mom
Hi Viv, I just got back from FSY and had a great time there. I loved texting you through it. I was so sad when I realized I had missed you going to the airport! Everything looks so fun there. The kids are all so cute, and I am happy you got a hold of a violin. I love you so much and am exited to see you soon!
