Having my aunt and uncle head the organization and having my brother participate being just so connected to YMAD over all, I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen, how I would feel about the girls at the Main Day Boarding School. Yes, they are pre-teen and younger girls that give you a whole lot of attitude, and it’s incredibly hard to teach them, but I don’t know if I’ll ever have the same kind of relationship with anyone ever again. The moment I walked into the school I instantly loved them, every one of them. For almost a year I was told that I would love them, but I never have felt it like that, nor that instant. My aunt, uncle, and brother all told me their experiences and how they felt and I can honestly say I had a completely different experience. Now I know it, I finally get it. This is why we go.
Tay, I don’t know if you will see this before you get home but know this . . . I love you and am thrilled you have had this opportunity. I get that I won’t be able to fulling comprehend what you have just experienced but I do get your life is now different. I will do all I can to help you take this life changer and continue to find ways to make a difference with people. Looking forward to having you home!
Yay…Tay! i am so glad you get it. I have loved working with everyone…Your family is a rock star and you are included in that!
