Before I left for India I talked to many people who had gone before me. They would all say to me, “India will change you man!” or “When you return to the United States you will not be the same.” In hearing this I didn’t know what to think. I thought yeah India will be amazing, yeah I’m going to love helping these kids, and yeah I really hope to make a difference in their lives, but I didn’t think that I would be changed.
I had been loving this trip and loving every experience that it has provided, but up until yesterday I hadn’t really seen or experienced anything that was life changing. Yesterday truly did change the way I look at the world. So many great and powerful things happened. I learned that it doesn’t matter what kind of situation or place a person has been brought up in, they can still live a happy life.
I have been loving India and every awesome thing it has to offer, I want to thank all my leaders and friends who are here with me for making this thing happen because it is one of the greatest experiences of my life. I want to thank my parents for being so legit. And I want to thank the great cows of this city for making really funny noises that sound like the t rex sound effects in Jurassic Park.
Isaac…. You are the coolest!! What an experience you are having in India! … got to love the cows too that have made your trip:) THX… for being an incredible friend to Dylan over the years… He thinks you are a stud…. Enjoy… Live it up!! Go eat some curry:) Amy
Keep up the good work Isaac. Travel really does provide a new and unique perspective on life. Also, some guy crashed his car into your fence haha. I thought you’d think that was funny.
