The driving it absolutely WILD!!

June 9, 2024 - Uncategorized

Whats up y’all, welcome back to the chat!! My goodness has these first couple of days been wild! With all the flights and time zone changes, all the days have blurred into one, and it’s definitely showing. We left Salt Lake at what should have been 4pm, though some how some random 18 bags got lost for about an hour so we didn’t leave until sometime after 5! But after a grand old time waiting, we finally left and arrived at Amsterdam at what would’ve been 1 in the morning back at home. But it was wack cause the sun didn’t go down at all during the flight and it was nice and sunny when we landed. But holy cow am I tired!! It feels like we haven’t slept for three days. Imma sleep like a log tonight. Kinda skipping around but when we got off the plane in Delhi there were like military peeps everywhere that were carrying machine guns. . . so that was pretty snazzy! But also legit terrifying. I felt as if I made eye contact with them or if I like sneezed, I was gonna be detained or something, but we good! Also there is an immediate difference from back home and here. The driving it absolutely WILD!! My gosh golly goodness. I have literally never been more scared when driving. on the road there are lanes, yet no one gives a crap. They all drive wherever they please and if they want to pass you for cut in front they just honk, and honk, and honk some more. The whole 15 hour bus ride there was I swear a honk every 5 seconds. As I sat looking outside I could literally stick my finger out, not my arm, my finger and touch the car next to us. Also our driver is actually so skilled, like we were making a zigzag up the mountain and we had to make some super tight turns while there was incoming traffic, but man handled it like a pro! Also I feel like a celebrity here. Every turn we made there were like hundreds of people staring at our bus and like waving and when we waved back the biggest smiles would spread across their faces! It was was pretty awesome yet strange haha. Welp I would write more, but I’m running on like 0 hours of sleep and a butt load of jet lag, so toodles!!
