It’s been a crazy few days!! First off this is Bronson with the blog today so shoutout to everyone back home who made this happen. We took a 9 ½ hour flight from SLC to Amsterdam, 7 ½ flight from Amsterdam to Delhi, then a 45 minute flight from Delhi to Chandigarh where we drove another 5 hours to our hotel in Kullu. The flight to Amsterdam was looong haha but we all watched lots of movies to make the time go fast. With only a few hours in the Amsterdam airport we all wandered around and explored like walking zombies because we were all tired. The airport was cool and there were lots of travelers from all over the world. My friend jared is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints not too far from the airport but we didn’t have enough time to visit him 🙁 The airport was cool though and they even had talking cleaning robots! In the bathroom we had a jump scare where someone mistook my YMAD sweatshirt for a political party currently in India, but we’re all good now! After arriving in Delhi we were welcomed soon after by Raj, Raul, and Nishoo. They were amazing and super helpful to getting us where we needed to be. Raj is the head macho here in YMAD and takes care of everything for us! The Delhi airport was pretty cool and had cool Elephant sculptures. We hopped on the airplane and I made a friend named Kunal on the plane. He was way sick so I gave him my airpod and we listened to some fire songs together. He shared his love by giving me half his sandwich ;). After we landed it was blazing hot and there were stray dogs everywhere. We got into three cars and started the rollercoaster ride to Kullu. There were probably an average of three people on every motorcycle and tons of stray dogs and cows wandering around. I say probably at least ten times where a motorcycle or car almost crashed into us. Logan’s driver set him up for success and paid a girl to knock on his window and try to kiss him. We got tons of domino’s pizza and arrived at the Kullu hotel welcomed by the workers and people involved in YMAD with a welcoming ceremony. That night we went the carnival next to our hotel and saw the goats and checked out shops. Finally, we chilled and went to bed super early after getting packed for tomorrow!
